Anna London is a Charlotte native, lifelong learner, and proven workforce-development leader now seeking to serve on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, District 6.

As President & CEO of Charlotte Works—North Carolina’s largest single-county workforce board—Anna mobilizes business, government, and education partners to connect thousands of residents each year with family-sustaining careers. Her eleven-year track record includes launching industry-aligned career pathways, securing multimillion-dollar grants, and championing policies that remove barriers to education and employment.

Anna’s passion for public education is deeply personal. Growing up in a working-class household, she found safety, mentorship, and a vision for her future inside public school classrooms. Attentive educators paved the way to her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Professional Counseling—proof that when students have support, opportunity, and high expectations, doors open.

A survivor who turned hardship into purpose, Anna now fights so every student can experience that same life-changing power of education. On the Board of Education, she will:

  • Nurture safe, welcoming schools where students and staff feel valued and families are considered partners in education.

  • Equip learners with the skills and credentials demanded by today’s economy.

  • Bridge classrooms to careers through robust employer and community partnerships.

Anna serves on multiple boards and committees, and lives in Pineville (District 6). She invites you to join her in building “The Bridge We Need” between education and opportunity for every child in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
